Selling a beacon

If you have sold your beacon, the registration needs to be updated.

  • If you have an account on our new website, please log in here to remove the beacon from your ownership.
    Once logged in, go in to the beacon on your list and click Remove. From there, select Sold from the drop down menu, provide any details you have for the new owner in the comment box and click Remove now.
  • If you haven't created an account on our new website yet, you can email us at contact.beacons@maritimenz.govt.nz.
    In your email please provide the UIN/HEX ID off the beacon and any details you have for the new owner.

Please ensure the new owner is aware of their responsibility to register the beacon with their details, to complete the transfer of beacon.

Your details will remain on the registration as the last known owner, until the new owner completes their registration.
